Disney Cruise Line Fall 2024 Itineraries Released

Disney Cruise Line Fall 2024 Itineraries Released

It happens three times a year, but it’s so exciting every time! Today, Disney Cruise Line announced its cruise itineraries for the fall of 2024 and early 2025 (pdf). I’ll share some of the highlights of what was announced below, along with some of my thoughts and observations. Note that this announcement does NOT include new itineraries for the Disney Treasure, which are expected sometime later this year.

But first, opening day booking windows for these new itineraries are based on your Castaway Club status as follows:

– Pearl Castaway Club Members: Monday, June 19
– Platinum Castaway Club Members: Tuesday, June 20
– Gold Castaway Club Members: Wednesday, June 21
– Silver Castaway Club and DVC Members: Thursday, Jun 22
– General public: Friday, June 23

If you would like to book a cruise with me and receive some onboard credit to spend on your cruise, send me an email at wes@mickeyworldtravel.com.

This announcement came as a bit of a surprise as the Disney Parks Blog social media account hinted that the itineraries would be released tomorrow (June 14).

Let’s break down the new itineraries by ship:

Disney Magic

The Magic will sail a few 3-, 4- and 5-night Bahamian cruises from Fort Lauderdale, with visits to Nassau, Castaway Cay, and Lighthouse Point. After repositioning to San Juan on November 5, she will visit the Southern Caribbean on a 7-night cruise with stops at St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Barbados, Dominica, and Antigua. Unfortunately, still no Grenada.

The Magic will reposition once again on November 15 to Galveston via a 6-night Bahamian cruise that calls on Lighthouse Point and Castaway Cay, with 3 days at sea mixed in. From Galveston, she will cruise to the Western Caribbean on 5- and 6-night cruises.

Disney Wonder

The Wonder is headed back to Hawaii and the South Pacific in late 2024 and early 2025. She will depart Vancouver for Hawaii on September 23 before leaving for Australia on October 3 via a 15-night South Pacific cruise calling on Kahului, Hawaii, American Samoa, Fiji, and New Caledonia. Once in Australia, the Wonder will spend a couple months sailing short Disney Magic at Sea cruises from Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. Then on February 10, 2025, she will return to the U.S. on a similar 15-night South Pacific cruise before rounding out the season on February 24, 2025 with a 9-night cruise back to Vancouver.

Disney Dream

The Dream is coming back from Europe via a 13-night Westbound Transatlantic cruise on October 20. Surprisingly, she will NOT be doing a short stint in New York and will instead head straight for Fort Lauderdale. That’s right, there are NO cruises from New York City that were announced today!

Once in Fort Lauderdale, it’s 4-, 5-, and 6-night Bahamian cruises, but has now added Lighthouse Point as a new destination for the Dream. This makes her the first ship other than the Magic and the Fantasy to call on the new private destination. There are several options during this season to visit BOTH Castaway Cay and Lighthouse Point on the Disney Dream.

Disney Fantasy

The Fantasy will sail the normal 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral during this time period, but interestingly, will also sail several 3-, 4-, and 6-night Bahamian cruises, highlighted by 6-night Bahamian cruises on October 20 and November 10 that visit Lighthouse Point and make TWO stops at Castaway Cay! So if you enjoy the Fantasy, but its normal 7-night schedule doesn’t work out for you, or if you’ve never tried it, there are some great opportunities for that coming out of this release!

Disney Wish

Not much to report for the Disney Wish. The Wish will spend this season sailing 3- and 4-night Bahamian cruise from Port Canaveral with visits to Castaway Cay and Nassau. There are still no scheduled visits by the Wish to Lighthouse Point

What’s Missing?

I already mentioned that the Dream will not be cruising from New York City in the fall of 2024, which was a bit of a surprise, but it’s also noteworthy that there are no cruises from San Diego, which we are used to seeing during this time of the year. And because of that, there is no Panama Canal cruise scheduled, either. I was very curious to see if that would be the case.

My favorite itineraries

It would be a dream to do one of the Hawaiian islands or South Pacific cruises, but it’s just not realistic with work and kids’ school schedules. So excluding those itineraries, here is a list of my top itineraries from this announcement, starting with my favorite:

– 6-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral on the Disney Fantasy (Oct 20, Nov 10)
– 7-Night Southern Caribbean Cruise from San Juan on the Disney Magic (Nov 8)
– 5-Night Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale on the Disney Dream (Nov 18, Nov 27, Dec 2, Dec 7, Dec 16, Dec 30)

Which itinerary that was released today is your favorite?
